Rented Soul Calibur 3 and Dragon Quest 8 just the other night. Soul Calibur 3 didn't have anything impressive at the onset, but Dragon Quest 8 had me pinned the whole night. It's got a basic but great storyline, a sexy female as part of the crew, and faithful representations of the Dragon Quest trademarks, right down to the varieties of slimes to the half gold rule when you die. I've got work to do, but I'll be playing plenty more of this through Thanksgiving break.

Also did some good shopping around the Water Tower region.

It had a catch though, I was riding through a major thunderstorm in between Milwaukee and Green Bay on my way back up into Upper Michigan, which sent me into a tailspin, being the wildest 100 miles I've ever rode in my life.

As for SS Tenka for PS2, they threw in all the animal friends as their own characters, added 3 more spirits, including a custom one, and they keep the censorship. First I have a lot of trouble trying to set up a direct connection between this and my old one so I can transfer files. Secondly, it has a nasty habit of wanting to disconnect my flash disk while it's in use. It doesn't complain about any other USB devices I seem to plug into there...

Perhaps I could hold off for now on the new video card, because the integrated stuff is good enough as it is for now.

I'll be busy throughout the remainder of the weekend...

She's redrawn from her SS2 sprites and has her SS2 moveset. It's a shame because she had some cool tricks in SS4 Special. (one of my current Mugen wips) The worst part about her new incarnation is her new voice. It is absolutely horrid! Yes, I feel it's damn important to the series. It's SNK's nature for screwjobs to do this kind of thing. The endings sound like something to go for, but I still think SS6 will be youthified in the end.

In other news I'm a bit tired from plasma donation and a little bit of schoolwork. I've gotten quite a bit done on SS4 Cham Cham since the last time I updated the shrine's Mugen page, but there's still a little bit left on the Bust version, and even so I'll only have half the character done. :P
